Spicer, MN - Proctor rallied from a 3-2 deficit and captured a 4-3 win over Stephen-Argyle in the Minnesota American Legion Baseball Division II State Tournament in Spicer, MN. Proctor trailed 3-2 in the top of the fifth inning when there was an error, scoring two runs.
Zach Gunderson got his Proctor team off to a quick start in the fist inning when drove in two runs off a double.
John Aase earned the win for Proctor whose record as a team in the tournament is 1-1. Aase tossed a complete game, seven innings, allowing three runs, seven hits, and striking out eight. Isaac Mills took the loss for Stephen-Argyle. He went six innings, giving up four runs, six hits, and striking out six.
Eddie Lefrooth went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Stephen-Argyle in hits. The loss evened Stephen-Argyle's record to 1-1 on the tournament.
Proctor collected seven hits on the game. Luke Nordquist and Gunderson each collected multiple hits for Proctor. Proctor didn't commit a single error in the field. Austin Parrot had 11 chances in the field, the most on the team.
After the final pool game between Pierz and New London Spicer is completed this afternoon, teams will seeded for the playoff round that begins at 4pm today.
