Minnesota American Legion Baseball Director Randy Schaub released a statement Tuesday, March 24th, 2020 regarding an update on the current status of the COVD-19.
The statement noted that American Legion National’s Baseball Director Steve Cloud announced that, as of now, their Regional and National tournaments are on as planned. In terms of baseball business today, it is recommended at the highest level at the American Legion that tryouts, meetings, and practices do not occur until the CDC deems it safe to do so.
Schaub’s letter went on to advise the Minnesota American Legion teams that schedules and timing will remain fluid and asked for everyone’s patience in this challenging time. The hope is to be playing baseball soon and he requested that all take care of their health.
As things move forward through the spring, be sure to listen to and subscribe to the On Deck Radio Podcast. Our first program will feature Schaub and Assistant Director Brandon Raymo. The duo will be formally introduced to the LegionHub.com family with the goal to update our website viewers on the COVID-19 status while delivering their vision for Legion baseball in Minnesota. The program will aid the week of April 12th, 2020.
